So as of today, I am officially the mother of a ten-year-old.
I honestly cannot believe it's been ten years since we first met Sophia.
From the beginning, she's always been a pretty content kid. A rule follower like her mommy.
Well, except that one time...
She's always been fashionable...
...and loving to her brother(s)...
And yes, she's always been a little performer...
She's always been told she looks just like her daddy...except, ya know, prettier...
See what I mean?
She's smart beyond belief, loves to read and has a strong sense of what's right and what's not. And she's not afraid to say so.
I kind of love that about her.
We named her Sophia because 1. I liked the name and 2. It means "wisdom" and "excellent virtue." We pray those things for her...
As she grows, it's my prayer that she'll know God more, love God more and be totally confident in who He's called her to be.
We love you, sweet girl, and hope this turns out to be your best birthday yet!

Now, for those of you who didn't come here to see my walk down memory lane, I do happen to have a WINNER for Christy's brand new Art Journaling Class, "She Had Three Hearts."
Special thanks to my sweet friend for letting me probe her brain! I loved it! (And I'm doing another fun interview this week that you might be interested in, so come back and check it out.)
Now. For the good stuff. The winner is:
(Like my brushwork there in Photoshop?)
