This week, we close on a new house. Our first Colorado house. Our fourth house ever. We can't wait, but I admit, it doesn't seem real AT ALL. I keep thinking we have a month to wait, but we don't...it's actually here. I'm a little nervous, if I'm honest. I guess it means we've officially moved to Colorado. Maybe after we move into our own house, it'll actually start to feel like we live here and stop feeling like we're on vacation.
I painted this weekend. Just this one that's been brewing in my head for awhile now...
A reminder to myself that it's okay to go against the flow. It's okay to make waves. To be different. To follow your gut.
I'm also...
...working on a few custom pieces but they aren't finished. I loved what my friend Becky said about painting for other people in this post. I echo her sentiments exactly.
...busy trying to find Sophia a good audition song for her audition for "The Sound of Music" (which is Saturday.) Anyone got any good ideas?
...finishing up a few deadlines so I can enjoy my weekend free & clear because I'm...
...preparing for my best friend to come visit me. It's been years since I saw her and we are both ready for the break! There's something about an old friend, someone who knows you already...it's comforting and familiar. I am so looking forward to it. I envision antique stores, spa treatments, good food and there's even been talk of some Friday Night Lights. Sounds like perfection to me.
...Loving being part of the Scrapbook Adhesives design team. I did my introductory post this weekend and added this layout:
...which looks crooked to me. Maybe I need a V8.
...reading devotionals here. They have so much great stuff and I have a feeling this one today is going to nail me to the wall.
It's important for me to slow down and hand it all over to God because stress has been making me physically sick and I'm kinda done with that. So. That's what's on my mind as I start my week...a whole lot of busy.
What're you up to this week?
