I love pretty things. I want to fill my new home with prettiness. Not necessarily "stuff" but just beauty...weather it's kind words or lingering kisses...hands helping little ones or looking for ways to make my kids smile.
I'm declaring our new house a "Family First" zone.
I rarely make things to decorate our house, but I plan to fill it with handmade items (cheap and easy decor) and things my kids have made. I don't care that it'll never be in some decorating magazine...it'll speak to our family, and that's what matters most.
I made this wall hanging for the Crafty Power Blog...you can see the whole post HERE.
So simple and easy, but such a great reminder. I want to hang this one in my kitchen so I always remember to focus on what's important.
People who love me.
The glass is half full. Or 3/4 of the way full. Or overflowing.
And I don't want to miss it by focusing on the things that don't matter.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway for Elana's new book, Gluten Free Cupcakes! Delicious stuff. I think I might make some this weekend! Just leave a comment on the post below.
