I guess we've officially moved to Colorado.
Today we closed on our new house.
I've been dreaming in color lately... these colors specifically...
I am obsessed with these colors. As evidenced by the last show I directed... I dressed all of our Godspell disciples in these colors:

It's in my blood.
By the way, I made that striped pillow up there. And I know it's not great on its own, but with the other things we came up with this past weekend I feel like it's going to be perfect. And I made it. Ok, Mindy mostly made it, but I supervised.
No sewing!
I picked paint colors for the living room and kitchen:
This photo does them no justice. The kitchen will be a buttery yellow and the living room is gray (not blue.) My friend Kelly informed me that gray is a great neutral and when Mindy agreed I figured we must be on to something.
I had been thinking about going white, white, white, but I realized while I LOVE the way it looks, it's not me. I love my red chairs too much...
So I have somewhat of a direction which helps so much. I was getting all overwhelmed about the whole thing and then revisited the things I love. That's so helpful.
I guess this means we've officially moved. We should probably get Colorado driver's licenses now. And bikes. And a bike rack.
Somehow, after all of the stress (and this was the most stressful home-buying experience I've had to date), it just sort of feels a little bittersweet. Sort of like when you finish a big project or something. You've worked so hard on it and then it's just...DONE.
I think when we can get in there and start painting and cleaning and tearing up carpet it's going to really hit me.
And then...we can all go home.
