This past week has been beyond full. I admit, it's getting hard to keep everything straight.
I've been packing up boxes for a month now, and Adam loads them up into the van and drops them off at the house after work. We've moved so much already, so why do I still feel like there's so much left to pack?
In my purging/packing, I discovered my affinity for magazines is bordering on out of control.
That was one of three stacks I found. I packed them up in a box before Adam could hunt me down and force me to throw some away. (I haven't read these yet!)
I made cover art for my upcoming papercrafting book. This is always so fun, but lots of pressure to "get it right!" You can tell I am an indecisive person when it comes to art...
I also made some little bookmarks for a friend which were featured on the Crafty Power Blog last week.
I cleared off the fridge and thought "I will NOT miss this thing." Not only is this fridge small, but it's impossible to open. I swear, it's sealed as tightly as a deep freeze right after you close the lid.
Plus, the kitchen does look cleaner with our fridge because I can't stick a bunch of stuff on it. As much as I love that, it's so messy!
One night last week, we had this crazy hail storm. It started out as thunder and rain and then got louder and louder until these started falling from the sky.
In the morning there were what looked like piles of snow from all this hail. It was insane.
And keeping in line with Murphy's Law...my Hobbit woke up on Thursday morning 100% sick. Throwing up everything and ended up sleeping on the couch (in the midst of all of our noise) for most of the day.
I felt so bad for him--He was just miserable.
By Friday, he was totally normal again. It was the strangest bug.
I also hunted down some fun stuff...
And yes, painted loads and loads of ugly brown trim to a beautiful white...
My hair looks ridiculous in that picture. Just sayin'.
Looking back on the whirlwind, it was quite productive, but we're all feeling the pain a little bit. Living in two houses hasn't been easy, but this upcoming weekend we move in for good.
I can't wait to wave goodbye to the rental, but I have to admit, I'll miss living in this part of town, close to my friends and familiar with everything. This rental got us out here, and even though there are many things we don't like about it, I am thankful for the Colorado roof over our heads this past year.
Today we're getting hardwood floors in here...
...which I think is going to transform the space completely. We're still talking about backsplashes and counters, but those are decisions for another day...
My brain is much too full to think about it!
