It's my anniversary this weekend. Well, Adam's too, cause you know, I didn't marry myself.
Here's one of our engagement pictures. TWELVE years ago.
Holy darn, we're getting old! (Incidentally I want to add as a PSA that this haircut was absolutely the WORST to grow out.) (And who cuts their hair off right before their wedding?)
Anyway, I'm not a lovey person. Affection is NOT my middle name. But I can appreciate the importance for a little romance every now and then...so today I'm giving away a prize package to spread the LOVE...
Inside this romantical package you will find:
The entire Walk in the Park series by award-winning author Annalisa Daughety...
She's as cute in real life as she is in that picture. And super sweet too. Each book in her Walk in the Park series is set in a different national park...
Clever, right?
You can put yourself in the mood for romance with this series (and check out Annalisa's website for information on her other books...they make GREAT Christmas gifts!)
In this prize package you'll also find this guy right here:
A handpainted chalkboard from my sweet friend Jenn Schmidt, who is way too crafty for her own good. Jenn is one of those friends you just thank God for every single day, and you better believe I do. This little chalkboard is a GREAT reminder to leave love notes for your one and only! Pretty romantic, right?
Also in this package...
A Starbucks gift card, two mugs and some gourmet hot chocolate.
(Disclaimer: What you see in the photo of the whole package is not exactly what you will get. I'd use the excuse that my back hasn't given me the chance to get out and get the REAL stuff but the truth is I'm a total hermit who needs coaching in order to leave my home.)
The reason I want to include the hot chocolate, two mugs & Starbucks card can be credited to my sister and brother-in-law:
I love these two. They have a "Hot Chocolate Date" tradition where, even when money is tight, they get their hot chocolate, sit down on the couch and catch up with each other. I can say from personal experience this is SO huge in a relationship--face to face time where you're just staying connected about more than logistics.
So, I wanted to equip this winner with the tools to have a proper hot chocolate date.
Lastly, girls. Make yourself smell good!
This is by far my favorite fragrance. It's light and subtle and doesn't give me a headache. I'm including a 10 oz. bottle of lotion and a 10 oz. bottle of shower gel to promote peace, love and good body odor.
Today, in order to enter, simply leave a comment answering the following question: What is something romantic that Adam and I can do on our anniversary this Saturday? Babysitter is all lined up...but I'm fresh out of ideas! Can you help a girl out?
For additional entries: Blog, Tweet or Facebook this giveaway! (up to three extra entries)...
And remember, you can go back to the beginning of the week and enter those Handmade Holiday giveaways as well! I won't pick winners till all the days are done! :)
I leave you with the image of young love:
