Today is the BIG DAY!
THE SWEETHAVEN SCRAPBOOKING CHALLENGE!
Before I tell you how this is going to work, let me share one last beautiful layout to inspire you courtesy of designer Leslie Ashe:
I'm a total scallop fiend, so this layout (and the one she has on her blog today) have me swooning over here!! And the topic of "Tradition" is right in lines with the story of Sweethaven...the tradition of going back to the cottages year after year, the tradition of sharing the scrapbook and documenting their memories...
Do you document your traditions?
Don't answer that...at least not yet!
Let me tell you how the challenge is going to work. (And the whole thing makes me a little nervous because this is sort of like throwing a party and then crossing your fingers that people will attend...I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nerve-wracked!)
But here it is...the DETAILS:
Step ONE: Look over all of these gorgeous Sweethaven-inspired layouts...and then pick one as your inspiration piece.
Take a peek: (larger images if you scroll back for the last two weeks through my blog...there's SO much inspiration!!)
Any inspiration that comes to you, through the colors, the design, the topic or your own Sweethaven inspired layout if you've read the book, is eligible!
Step TWO: Create a piece of art (any art...scrapbook page, paper crafting project, mixed media...there's really no limitation here to what you can do...) inspired by the piece you choose.
Step THREE: Post your project somewhere on the internet (Two Peas, Scrapbook.com, your own blog, Facebook...anything goes here too!) But it MUST contain the words "inspired by 'A Sweethaven Summer'" somewhere in the title/post.
Step FOUR: Link back here in the comment section of THIS POST and tell me a little about your layout and what project inspired you!
Step FIVE: Tell all your friends so they can join in and be part of the fun!
Step SIX: Watch my blog for the announcement of the WINNERS!
