Before we moved, I was intent on fulfilling all my duties wholeheartedly. Finishing strong, so to speak. And then we got slapped with the "attic fan debacle" in which we had to purchase an attic fan for our house AND find someone to install it before we could close. Did I mention this happened on a Thursday night and we were leaving the following Monday?
Do you know how hard it is to get people to answer your calls over the weekend? Plus, I won't even go into the extra cost or the fact that we'd been asking for weeks what fan the inspector was talking about (and no one seemed to know.)
You can tell that one about did me in. It was added stress and it was threatening our entire moving plan. And it was awful. In the midst of that, I totally dropped the ball in posting my final Guest Designer project for Unity Stamps...the worst part was, I'd had the layout done for two weeks:
I LOVE the "boylish" (as Ethan said when he was younger) stamps in this collection from Bella Blvd:
And the brand new journaling block stamp (the circle here:)
...is one of my all-time favorites. For me, someone who needs to be a little bit fast and furious when I scrapbook, stamps are a GREAT way to add pops of FUN, and cutting them out and mounting them with foam squares is the best way I know to do this!
I also used some old book paper to create a somewhat haphazard border here:
...and I layered punched circles underneath that. I LOVE to use tons of different patterns in small doses so you get some good variety.
I am so surprised how much I miss creating, but it's been about three weeks since my stuff has been all boxed up and I am itching to get it out again... Adam says my office will be one of the first things on the list, but sitting here, surrounded by boxes (more than any other room...ahem...) I'm feeling completely daunted by the task before me.
I keep trying to take it one thing at a time, but that's NOT my strong suit.
Anyway, I LOVED playing with all these fun Unity Stamps, and if you're looking for a few great stamps for your crafting/scrapbooking/artistic endeavors, I highly recommend these. They're SO fun to use! :) And I was so thankful for the chance to guest design with them...
(And especially thankful that Angela is so gracious. I texted her from the Penske truck the moment I remembered I didn't get my post up and she was amazing. I am a lifelong fan.)
