I started my morning in search of peace. I went HERE and read THIS and felt positively gobsmacked to read something written just for me. Things I've been pondering but haven't quite grasped.
No matter how hard I try, I'm still caught up in the doing. Somehow I always think I need to do.
I notice it most in busy times, when I'm floundering a little and barely keeping my head above water. It's in those times I most need to immerse myself in the peace that passes all understanding... and yet, it's in those times I let that peace get the farthest away.
In many ways, I think Sweethaven is my mind's creation of a physical representation of that peace we all seek.
That little spot on the earth where we can go and be ourselves. Perfectly accepted for who we are. That's what we crave, isn't it?
Today's inspiration piece comes from across the pond. My friend, the lovely and talented Emma Trout created this landscape style layout on this very topic of peace.
The place she goes to find peace. For Stacey, it was the green chair. For Emma, it's the ocean at sunset. To me, this layout is perfectly stunning, the details in clusters make it so eye-catching...in fact, it makes me want to scrapbook!
But it's this that's really captured my heart...the words...
I love these words so very much. I can almost put myself right there, in the middle of that ocean. Do you ever feel that way?
Be sure to visit Emma's Blog for tons more inspiration.
I guess more than anything, Sweethaven is a peaceful place...a way to escape the stresses of daily life. I am purposing to do that this weekend...
