I was pretty excited to find out this morning that A Sweethaven Summer made the New York Times bestseller list for the third week in a row.
It's definitely one of those surreal, dream-come-true kind of things that makes me kind of giddy on the inside and horribly awkward on the outside. It's also one of those things that makes me sit back and thank God for the opportunity to put my stories down on paper.
Years ago now I know God was clear in telling me to write. Why have I worried myself sick along the way (my husband is asking me this question daily.) Why haven't I fully turned it over? It's like I still want to be in control...but when he takes the wheel, better things happen.
Oh, Courtney, when will you learn?
Anyway. Let's talk about all my shortcoming another day...today is day three of the Sweethaven Scrapbooking Challenge!
Next week, you can choose a topic/layout as your inspiration piece, create a layout of your own and enter the challenge. I can't wait to tell you the prizes!
Or you can read one of the first two Sweethaven novels and use the book as inspiration...available HERE and HERE. (Also available for Nook and Kindle!)
Designer Stacey Michaud chose to create a layout about a special spot in her home.
I imagine the Sweethaven girls find the same kind of comfort and peace in their homes that Stacey finds right here in this comfy, cozy spot...the place you can go and just be. The place where you make memories and have long talks and inhale the perfection of a good cup of coffee.
Where is that spot for you? It doesn't have to be a town or a road trip away...for Stacey, it's this simple green chair.
Another topic worth scrapbooking.
Speaking of which, I'm thrilled to be guest blogging over on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog. AND...we're even doing a giveaway. Watch for that post today and come read the why of Scrapbooking, how it plays a part in Sweethaven...and enter to win!
What topic will you choose for the Sweethaven Scrapbooking Challenge???
