We're celebrating the launch of my newest book, A Sweethaven Homecoming and we're doing it with a Scrapbooking Challenge... lots of topics from the book would make wonderful, universal layout themes, and I want to see what YOU come up with!
In Sweethaven, there are some quips and quotes, along with some Scriptures that play a key role in the story. We all have those special words that speak to us, pull us up out of the pit, send us on our way...
My friend, the talented and amazing Jen Gallacher, decided to create a layout based on a quote that really speaks to her. It's funny because just a couple of weeks ago I took a photo of a journal with this exact quote on it. I guess it's going around.
Look at Jen's Sweethaven-inspired layout:
Jen says: "Today I get to share a layout I created inspired by one of my favorite quotes. I am working on overcoming some fears this year, so I've embraced this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson."
She also created a printable so you can work this quote into your next papercrafting project too. You can also find this over on Jen's Blog.
I love the way she added journaling on how this quote makes her feel. And the great part is that I think the quote itself really sums up what Meghan goes through in the book... the one thing she's afraid to do is return to Sweethaven...and that's the one thing she has to do to make things right.
In case you're as smitten with her as I am, you can find more Jen Gallacher over at her stamping for scrapbookers workshop on 2Peas. If you'd like to learn how to incorporate more stamping on your layouts, be sure to check it out.
Look for additional workshops HERE (including something NEW from Jen soon)!
Will you join the Sweethaven Scrapbooking Challenge? Many prizes are on the line and I can hardly wait to see what you come up with...maybe Jen's layout will be your inspiration piece? :)
