I feel a bit like I'm caught up in a whirlwind right now... there's a pile of things in our life that don't make sense, another pile that I'm halfway through sorting out and another pile that I've decided to disregard completely.
We are in a refining phase. Thrown in the fire to see how we fare. And over and over I hear God saying "I will fight for you."
Every time I go to pick up my verbal boxing gloves, he calms me down. Stills my spirit. Because the truth is that some battles we can't win with words. Battles with ignorance and stupidity. Battles orchestrated by an enemy bigger than we are. We can't win those on our own. And I don't know about you, but I'd much rather have God engage on my behalf than have to carry that burden on my own.
At any rate, we are learning, and that's what's really important, I guess... We're also on the edge of something new. Ridiculous. Exciting. Scary. I found this image while flipping through the Toms catalog and decided I want it framed. It sums up how we're feeling perfectly...
I've just sent out the emails for my upcoming Art Workshops. I'm finding these classes are super fun and you don't have to be artistic or consider yourself creative to join in. I've purposely designed them that way. I would love to see you in my art studio, and these projects make perfect little gifts for teachers, grandparents, co-workers, family & friends...
I realized after I sent it, I shouldn't have said "GIRL'S" Art Workshop...I should've said "KID'S" because I've had boys in several of my classes and they are super awesome!!
The second class I have coming up is for Mom/Kids (though you can come solo too)... and it's a 2-canvas class. We'll be using some very cool background textures to create two little canvases that are super easy and fun...and they make wonderful gifts!
Email me if you want to reserve a spot...I'd love to paint with you!
