It's definitely time to celebrate!
As you may or may not know I have a new book about to officially release from Tyndale. This book is a version of a story I pitched at my first ever writer's conference (incidentally to my current editor at Tyndale!) It's funny the way things work and how it wasn't quite ready then. Some tweaking, an overhaul and a new setting gave my story that something extra it was lacking in 2008.
It's almost unrecognizable now, but I like it so much better, and I'm in the mood to celebrate.
Paper Hearts has a lot of my current journey woven in to its pages. It's funny how your disappointment can turn into something really beautiful, and that's one of the main themes of this book.
Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be talking about this whole crazy process, but the best part is, I've got some awesome stuff planned for YOU. I love the chance to celebrate and give things away, so I'm starting today...
I have to tell you, writing a book is a lot like running naked through your high school hallways. You work away in the safety of your writing nest for days, weeks, months, soemtimes years...and I don't know if anyone is every really ready to launch their book in to the world. I know it's left me feeling a bit vulnerable and exposed, full of self-doubt and anxiety...and yet, filled with nervous excitement and anticipation.
I'm anxious to share Jacob and Abigail's story and hope it touches your heart the way it's touched mine.
Today I'm eager to celebrate the two four-star review from RT Book Reviews and the positive review from Publisher's Weekly. I was so happy to read positive feedback it made me want to give some stuff away!
SO to celebrate...I'm offering a signed copy of Paper Hearts, a whimsical art print and a Starbucks gift card to one lucky winner.
To enter, simply use the Rafflecopter link below. Bonus points for tweeting about it, liking my author page or following me on Twitter too. I have some REALLY fun things planned, great giveaways and so much more in celebration of this new book, so I hope you'll join me for the journey!
And if you happen to read Paper Hearts, I'd love to hear what you think (or maybe you'd be willing to share your thoughts on Goodreads or Amazon so other readers can find my story?)
You have until next Friday to enter this super fun giveaway!! I hope you'll help me spread the word!
