Today I'm in Illinois hunting houses. Adam went out a couple weeks ago and found a few "maybes" that I'm visiting and then we have a bunch more on the list.
Yes, we do still own a house in Illinois, but we've got amazing renters who don't want to leave and that house, unfortunately, would be difficult location-wise given Adam's new job and commute.
We're praying for the perfect house to magically appear so when we move on June 27th we actually have somewhere to move to. I've decided I'm going to become more social now with this move. I know borderline agoraphobes aren't typically social people, but I watched "It's Complicated" last night and something came over me.
An entertainer's spirit, I think.
Or an extreme love of Meryl Streep.
Or maybe this garden?
I want to BE her. Hat. Shirt. Bakery you can break into in the middle of the night because you own it and know how to use it. Love.
Maybe this move will transform me? Ha.
Who knows? I thought Colorado would turn me granola and outdoorsy and so far that hasn't happened. I'm learning it's really not about where you live so much as who you are. And I'm more of an indoor sleeping, bug killing, don't like to get hot and sweaty kind of person.
It is what it is.
Anyway, I wanted to share something kinda fun. I'm the June Guest Designer over at the Unity Stamp Company Blog today. I'm kind of jazzed I get to share a little bit about my project.
It's a mixed media canvas with a quote I kind of love.
Used a lot of background stamps to add texture. I love the way stamps give you such cool dimension without much hassle.
Plus, they let you get inky and painty and that's just fun. I'm not sure what time it'll go live at the blog, but I hope you'll check it out!
So, there ya have it. I'll keep you posted on the house hunt. We'll all have fun finding out where in the world we're going to end up!
And don't forget, there's still time to enter my Scrapbooking Your Faith giveaway. Trust me, I'm moving so lots of things are going to go into the winner's box! Enter! Share! Tell your friends.
And pray I find us a house!?
I cannot wait to hear all about the new house that you find - it will be perfect for all of you! God bless!

oh good luck. i always find house hunting completely overwhelming and no fun at all. not what you would think.
i'd like to be more social too. to entertain often and have a house with lots people in it. not sure if we can become that. it's not my honey's nature. but it's something i think i would love.

I hope the house you're about to purchase is near Adam's work location so traveling won't be a hassle for him. :) When you finally have your new house, put the unseen to the scene! Have a garden on the rooftop, Corney. That would be great! You'll help Mother Nature at the same time, girl.

Calvin is right, Corney. Make sure the roof of your new house is spacious so you can build a garden there. Oh! It's only a matter of time for you to move in. Have you found a house yet?

It's been 5 months since you started searching for a new house. How's the search going so far? Or should I ask, how does it feel to finally live in a new home? I suppose Adam is SO happy! Well, that is if you've managed to buy a house near his office.
